Product Owner
Functions
The Product Owner, or PO, is responsible for a digital product or multiple digital assets.
He navigates between several teams, for which he is the main point of contact. He has an overall vision for the project that enables him to take charge of the roadmap, quickly identify obstacles and find solutions. He is ultimately responsible for delivering the product(s).
His duties call for him to analyse functional needs. He manages and prioritises the backlog. He tests developments and organises production launch at the end of the sprint. He manages the budget, schedules and internal/external teams.
The Product Owner works with, among others, a Scrum Master and an Agile Coach.
Qualities
Product Owners are well acquainted with marketing and technical subjects and are always observing trends.
They are rigorous and organised; they are adept at managing projects and using the time allocated to the team as efficiently as possible.
They are good communicators with strong team spirit. They can listen and persuade. They are very charismatic and know how to adapt their language to the background of the people they are communicating with.
